RESTful APIs & EXPRESS.JS

  • Express.js Routing: Handling GET, POST, PUT, DELETE requests and params.
  • Middleware Functions: Creating custom middleware, error handling, and logging.
  • REST Principles: Designing clean, stateless, and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Data Validation: Using libraries like Zod or Joi to validate incoming requests.
  • Authentication & Security: Hashing passwords (Bcrypt), JWT (JSON Web Tokens).
  • API Testing: Using Postman and writing unit tests with Jest/Supertest.

DATABASES (SQL & NoSQL)

  • Advanced Database Operations: Aggregation pipelines, indexing, and transactions.
  • Database Modeling: Designing effective schemas for real-world applications.

ADVANCED BACKEND & CLOUD DEPLOYMENT

  • Real-time Communication: Introduction to WebSockets and Socket.io for chat apps.
  • Caching: Improving performance using Redis and in-memory caching techniques.
  • File Uploads: Handling multipart/form-data and cloud storage (AWS S3, Cloudinary).
  • Containerization: Introduction to Docker and docker-compose for backend services.
  • Server Deployment: Deploying Node.js applications to Heroku, Render, or DigitalOcean.
  • Setting up NGINX reverse proxies and securing servers with SSL certificates.
