Module 1

ADVANCED ELECTRONICS & BOARD ARCHITECTURE

  • Advanced Laptop Motherboard Architecture: Understanding block diagrams of Intel and AMD boards.
  • Power Distribution Network (PDN): Deep dive into 19V, 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V, 1.05V, and VCORE lines.
  • Reading Schematics & Boardviews: Using ZXW, BoardViewer, and PDF schematics for circuit tracing.
  • Component Identification: Locating Buck Converters, LDOs, MOSFETs, and PWM controllers.
  • Multimeter & Oscilloscope Mastery: Measuring PWM signals, clock crystals, and reset signals.
  • Identifying short circuits accurately using Voltage Injection and Thermal Imaging.
02

Module 2

CHIP-LEVEL SOLDERING & BGA REBALLING

  • Professional Soldering Techniques: Working with micro-SMD components without burning the board.
  • BGA Reballing Process: Creating perfect solder balls for CPU, PCH, and GPU chips.
  • Using BGA Rework Station: Setting temperature profiles for safe chip extraction and placement.
  • Double-Decker CPU techniques: Separating and rejoining stacked components.
  • Pad Restoration: Fixing broken copper pads and running micro-jumpers under a microscope.
  • Connector Replacement: Safe removal of FPC connectors, LVDS ports, and DC jacks.
03

Module 3

DEAD BOARD DIAGNOSTICS & BIOS

  • Step-by-step Dead Board Troubleshooting: Where to check when the laptop refuses to power on.
  • Standby Circuit Analysis: Tracing the 3V/5V always-on circuit and Super I/O (EC/KBC) requirements.
  • BIOS Programming & Editing: Extracting, editing, and flashing BIOS dumps using RT809F/SVOD.
  • Intel ME Region Cleaning: Fixing delayed display, fan full speed, and auto-shutdown post-repair.
  • Diagnosing 'No Display' issues: Differentiating between RAM, BIOS, PCH, and GPU faults.
  • Bypassing Discrete GPU (UMA Conversion): Converting faulty graphic boards to integrated graphics.
04

Module 4

SPECIFIC FAULTS & MACBOOK REPAIR

  • Charging Circuit Faults: Diagnosing battery not charging, adapter not recognized, and ISL/BQ chips.
  • Audio & Network Circuit: Tracing dead speakers, mic issues, and missing Wi-Fi/LAN hardware.
  • MacBook Logic Board Introduction: Understanding Apple's power sequence (PPBUS_G3H, PP3V3_G3H).
  • CD3215/CD3217 USB-C Diagnostics: Fixing 5V to 20V switching issues on modern MacBooks.
  • T2 and M-series Basics: Introduction to Apple Silicon and security chip constraints.
  • Final Assessment: Successfully repairing a complex dead motherboard from scratch.
